1: The student is required to complete 12 years of schooling where he/she shall be officially enrolled in the American Program for the last 3 years (10 -11 &12). Exceptions apply to the British (IGCSE) & IB programs students who finish grade 10 and join the American Program in grade 11.
2: The school must be officially accredited by an American accreditation agncy and its high school trainscripts shall be officially certified by the AmidEast in Amman.
3: The students who are graduating from the Jordanian Schools are expected to pass the following subjects in grades (10 -11 &12):
Arabic, Islamic Education (for the Muslim Student ONLY), Jordan History, in addition to the American High School Dimploma subjects.
4: SAT 1 exam is equivalent to one ACT Subject test, but the exam date must be from March.2023 (digital) and onwards.
5: The Equivalency Options:
Students can choose one of the following options:
Three of these subjects’ exams must be scientific including Mathemeatics to obtain the scientific equivalency:
Three of these exams must be scientific including Mathematics to obtain the secintific equivalency
Three of these exams must be scientific including Mathematics to obtain the scientific equivalency
Two of these exams must be scientific to obtain the scientific equivalency
The AP exams, in this case must be both scientific to obtain the scientific equivalency
Three of these exmas must be scientific including Mathematics to obtain the scientific equivalency.
NOTE: if a student is not willing to consider grades 10,11 &12 in the equivalency, he/she can substitute them with any external exam with the same weight ( two ACT subject tests, or one AP or ACT 1).
6: The following subjects are optional (literary) alternatives for the aformenentioned ACT subject Tests:
NOTE: AP Art exams, including AP drawing , is equivalent to ONE ACT subject test (not two) except for the students who have taken it in grade 11 ( 2019 -2020).
7: The following grading scales are the newly adopted ones for the equivalency.
